The Eyes

Hello there

Thank you, first of all, for your time reading my words in poetry. I hope you will continue to support my poetic art. I need the best audience for criticism and appreciation to nourish my art.

Here is the first one, though not chronologically correct, let me publish on the blog at random as and when I find my poems.

Reddened eyes on a rosy face
Held forth the flood of emotions;
It spoke of a tale of mischances
Or a tinge of disbelief over trust.
Yet, the sodden eyes glistened.

When I walked unto her to ask
If anything, indeed dislodged her self.
An attempted smile denied it gently
While tears jumped over the eye line.
Her eyes started to swell again.

Minutes elapsed as she sat meditatively,
Meanwhile, my words recorded her mood.
The whole class was lost in an act of
Giving expressions to individual thoughts.
Creativity is not enforced but encouraged.

There, I stop after the first stanza,
A glimpse of the girl gives me assurance.
As she reads my verse languidly,
I notice a twinkle in her eyes:
“Your words speak truth and make my day”.
